To celebrate the arrival of a new range of eco-yarns in my shop, Stitch Organics, I am offering one lucky reader the chance to win a 100g skein of their choice! All yarns are hand-spun by women’s co-operatives and small businesses in India. Prices range from £2.50 plus (p&p) and there is a discount for orders of 25+ skeins. Please contact me for further details.
The banana yarn is described as a plant based (vegan) silk, as it has a luxurious texture. Recommended needle size = 5-6mm, each skein is 100g and approximately 73m.
This colourful, recycled cotton yarn is made from loose ends of cotton fabrics collected from industrial mills in India that are hand spun into yarn. There is a slight lustre to the appearance of the recycled cotton yarn and a slightly crisp handle, but it has no elasticity so use it along with another yarn to add some stretch and memory. Available again in skeins of 100g (73m approximately). It is also available in undyed, perfect for creating your own colours!
The recycled textile yarn is made from cotton fabric waste collected from textile mills in India. It has been tied end to end in knots to form a unique vibrant fun art yarn by women’s co-operatives and cottage industries.
